A prominent problem around our age today is around online bullying and harassment. Not only does it affect us, but the elderly as well. It’s a leading cause in suicide deaths, and will have long lasting affects on teens.
Cyberbullying. We’ve all been a victim of it or have committed this act. If you haven’t, then you’re very lucky to be safe. Getting bullied is not uncommon in my life, as I’ve been bullied many times and I know how it feels to be bullied or be the bully.
I found it interesting that harassing someone online is considered bullying. I thought that intimidating someone is the only form of bullying. We should be more alert and learn how to deal with this problem. Otherwise if we don’t, sometimes it can lead to suicide.
I found that if you are more open to talking about your problems, it can benefit everyone. While researching this, schools make the public aware of cyberbullying and that helped many schools improve with their students being not scared. If you were bullied, you wouldn’t feel safe coming to school. Once that issue is eliminated, the students find courage to go to school.
One take away from this is that we shouldn’t bully anyone. If you are being bullied, then you should just get someone trusted to talk to you, however hard it may be. It’s the best solution.
